Who you're dealing with
Screenshot Text is sold by PLOREC LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10527882), registered office Unit 22 Cariocca Business Park, 2 Sawley Road, Manchester, M40 8BB. Contact: @current_user_1 on X.
The free plan
You can download and use Screenshot Text for free, with every feature, up to 5 captures a day. The free plan has no time limit.
Your Lifetime license
- One payment, no subscription. A Lifetime license removes the daily limit and includes every future update to Screenshot Text.
- It's yours, personally. You can use your license on any Macs you personally use. Please don't share your key or post it publicly. For a team, buy one license per person.
- Delivery. After payment, your license key is emailed to the address you used at checkout. If you lose it, contact us and we'll resend it.
- Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout and include any taxes Stripe applies. Payment is processed by Stripe.
No refunds
The free plan is the full app, so please try it before you buy. Because your license key is delivered immediately, all sales are final: at checkout you agree that delivery starts straight away and that you therefore give up the 14-day right to cancel that consumers normally have for digital purchases. We confirm this in your license email.
This doesn't affect your statutory rights. If Screenshot Text is faulty or not as described and we can't fix it, you're entitled to a remedy, which may include a refund. Contact @current_user_1 on X.
Using the app
Use Screenshot Text lawfully, and only to capture content you have the right to use. Don't reverse engineer the license system, resell the app, or distribute modified copies.
Accuracy
Text recognition and AI cleanup are very good but not perfect, especially with small, blurry or stylised text. Check anything important, such as code you are about to run, figures or legal text, before relying on it.
Our responsibility to you
Screenshot Text is provided “as is”. If you're a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don't affect: for example, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Open-source components
The optional AI cleanup uses the Qwen2.5-Coder model (Apache License 2.0), downloaded from Hugging Face, and runs it with llama.cpp (MIT License). These components remain under their own licenses.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. Changes won't take away a license you've already bought. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protections of your local consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
